Flavonoid glycosides and their p-coumaroyl esters from Campylospermum calanthum leaves.
نویسندگان
چکیده
Six new compounds, comprising three flavonoid glycosides and their respective coumaroyl esters, have been isolated and characterized from the methanol extract of the leaves of Campylospermum calanthum, along with three known flavonoid aglycones, 7-O-methyl apigenin (1), 7-O-methyl luteolin (2), and 7-O-methyl quercetin (3). Their structures were elucidated based on chemical evidence as well as spectroscopic analysis including 1D and 2D NMR (1H-1H COSY, HSQC, HMBC, and NOESY) spectroscopy and by comparing their spectral data with those reported for related compounds.

Role of the p-Coumaroyl Moiety in the Antioxidant and Cytoprotective Effects of Flavonoid Glycosides: Comparison of Astragalin and Tiliroside.
The aim of this study was to explore the role of p-coumaroyl in the antioxidant and cytoprotective effects of flavonoid glycosides. The antioxidant effects of astragalin and tiliroside were compared using ferric ion reducing antioxidant power, DPPH• scavenging, ABTS•⁺ scavenging, •O₂- scavenging, and Fe2+-chelating assays. The results of these assays revealed that astragalin and tiliroside both...

متن کاملGenome-wide analysis of the structural genes regulating defense phenylpropanoid metabolism in Populus.
Salicin-based phenolic glycosides, hydroxycinnamate derivatives and flavonoid-derived condensed tannins comprise up to one-third of Populus leaf dry mass. Genes regulating the abundance and chemical diversity of these substances have not been comprehensively analysed in tree species exhibiting this metabolically demanding level of phenolic metabolism. Here, shikimate-phenylpropanoid pathway gen...
متن کاملStress-responsive hydroxycinnamate glycosyltransferase modulates phenylpropanoid metabolism in Populus
The diversity of phenylpropanoids offers a rich inventory of bioactive chemicals that can be exploited for plant improvement and human health. Recent evidence suggests that glycosylation may play a role in the partitioning of phenylpropanoid precursors for a variety of downstream uses. This work reports the functional characterization of a stress-responsive glycosyltransferase, GT1-316 in Popul...
